History.
The department was started in 2002. The department offers a 4 year BE degree (Intake30).About sixty students from two batches have already graduated from this department alone. The Society of Biotechnologists (SRIGEN) under the aegis of the department is active in conducting several academic programs like invited lectures, industrial visits, National Seminars, Hands on training, workshop and other co-curricular activities.
