The department of chemistry MSRIT has conducted a training program ‘Laboratory Attendant Chemical Plant-(CHE-206)’ under MES (Modular Employable Skills) program held at our Department during   19-09-2009   to   31-09-2009. MES is a concurrent subject under the constitution of India and the Central and State Governments share responsibility for effective implementation of it in the country.
       A batch of 33 students attended this course and trained in glassware cleaning & maintenance, preparation of chemical reagents, handling of some instruments and equipments which is in general use in chemistry laboratory. These candidates are qualified and competent to work in chemistry laboratories of Degree colleges, engineering colleges, Environmental chemistry labs. Chemical Industries etc.
   On 05-02-2010, Sri. M.R.SEETHARAM Hon’ble Vice Chairman, GEF and Director, MSRIT, Bangalore-54.has distributed the certificates to the MES-candidates,    Dr. VISHNUKANT S. CHATPALLI, Executive Director, Karnataka Vocational Training & Skill Development Corporation Ltd (KVSTDC), Sri. Keshava Murthy, Deputy General Manager of KVSTDC and others were also present in the function.
