DEPARTMENT PROFILE
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science was established in 2021. The department focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, Machine Learning, and various Statistical techniques to extract insights and make data- driven decisions. The department has highly qualified faculty members with doctorate degree. The faculty members has published their research in refereed International journals and conferences. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms. Department has incorporated the ICT techniques for effective Teaching. Further department frequently Conducts technical events like: seminars, workshops, hackathons etc., to allow students to gain critical skill sets in Data Science. The department encourages the students for overall development by encouraging students to participate in extracurricular/cocurricular activities. Department works towards strengthening the bridge between academic and the industry Through the Academia- Industry Collaborations.

Thapar). - BE in Electronics and Communication, First class with distinction, Mysore University (1987) • RESEARCH ACCOMPLISHMENTS - Applying Computational Intelligence: To meet the future smart-network's requirement such as cognitive approaches for intelligent networks to provide the decision making capabilities, Designed a flexible, adaptable, reliable, scalable and stabilizable routing, resources allocation, mobility based issues and context-aware service strategies by using intelligent technologies, swarm & bio-inspired computing and Neural Networks to solve the optimization problems in wired/wireless networks, for better services. - Protocol Engineering: Conformance testing and Test sequence generation. •POSITIONS HELD 1.
